Spearmint

To begin the theoretical foundation we will begin to explain the plant that will be used to perform the experiment. Green mint, also known as Mentha spicata (botanical name), is a plant of the mentha genus, is an aromatic plant that thanks to its intense and fresh smell very used in gastronomy and perfumery.
Green mint is a perennial plant, that is to say that it lives more than two years, which in good conditions, grows very easily up to a meter high, thanks to its extensive and invasive roots. Its leaves give the name to the plant by its shape (spica means 'spear' in Latin), they are leaves with great foliar mass, so, especially in summer, they require to be watered more frequently. Their flowers have a chalice with five sépalos, the corolla is lilac, pink or white and very glandulosa, corola can arrive to 3 mm of thickness.
It is a plant that stands out because of its aroma that comes from its main component: menthol, menthol is a type of alcohol that possesses vasodilator properties, which with the skin contact generates a feeling of intense cold that induces analgesia (it is the state of the body where there is absence of pain)
Green mint is one of the most widely used plants in physiotherapy (science that studies the properties of plants and their uses), which is why it is a plant with many benefits and with the presence of many properties that favor health, for example : the anagetic, digestive, stimulated and antiseptic properties. It is also used in decongestant medications used to cure the flu or the cold.
